Open the system Settings › Rewind Echo and make sure Media & Apple Music access is turned on, then reopen the app.
In the app, go to Settings › General › Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID used for the original purchase.
A one-time purchase unlocks handwriting notes & stickers on the cassette, and the Home Screen widget — forever, no subscription.
